Technical notes

You may have already spotted that the saved data is in the form "wsr_ABCXYZ:true" where ABC is made up from the initial letters of the pub name, and XYZ is the first part of the postcode.

So, for example, The Rochester Castle in Stoke Newington would be "wsr_TRCN16:true".

This was all going reasonally well until I realised there was a duplication with The Roebuck in Rayleigh (SS6 7BU) and The Rawson Spring in Sheffield (S6 2LN) which would both be "wsr_TRSS6:true" so there is an extra rule which means you add more letters from the postcode until the conflict disappears; so The Roebuck in Rayleigh (SS6 7BU) is "wsr_TRSS67:true" and The Rawson Spring in Sheffield (S6 2LN) is "wsr_TRSS62:true".

The "true" bit doesn't really do anything at the moment, but allows some flexibility for the future.

Anyway this information might be useful one day if you wanted to export or import your saved pubs into other applications or spreadsheets.

The data is stored locally in the bowser on your device usimg Javascript's localStorage.setItem; there are no Cookies involved.
